JAL207 WellSpan Hospital Auxiliary Benefit Quilt Auction

Quilt Auction to benefit WellSpan York Hospital Auxiliary. Apple Hill Medical center in York PA is renovating and has donated all the quilts that are on display to the Auxiliary as a fund raiser. The quilts are displayed at Apple Hill. You are welcome to preview the quilts during the facility open hours before the auction on Monday through Friday from 7AM to 7PM and Saturday 7AM to 12PM. Use entrance A to enter the building and circle the main floor counter clockwise, and then go down to the lower level and circle the floor counter clockwise again. Please be sure to go down the offshoot hallway in the lower level, as there are quilts on display there as well. It is recommended that you inspect during the daylight hours, the skylights make the space much brighter during the daylight hours.

The Apple Quilt, 1987
Designed and executed in PA to celebrate the completion and dedication of the Apple Hill Medical Center. The green bar grids in the pattern symbolize the apple tree and a relationship to the green architectural details in the atrium and window treatment of this building. The apple was chosen as the logo for the Apple Hill Medical Center facility to commemorate propagation of the York Imperial Apple, first grown on this site by Jonathan Jessop in the 1820s.
